Alexander Technique

Can you remember what it was like being a child? All the energy and the freedom?

Or take a look at the natural balance and grace most animals possess.

Most of us have this quality as children but as we grow up we tend to loose it. Why?

One reason are the habits we develop, both mental and physical, which we mostly are not aware of.

Our bodies are beautifully engineered psycho-physical mechanisms,

designed to work efficiently from a finely tuned balance.

These habits disrupt and interfere with this delicate balance,

they lead to poor coordination, bad posture and improper use of the body.

Instead of utilising balance and muscular freedom to achieve our aims we end up using force in even the simplest movements.

With time this can lead to various ailments such as back problems, headache, fatigue and sports injuries.

The Alexander Technique makes you gradually aware of these habits, helps you to reconnect to your
natural balance and create more self awareness.

With this comes a new increased freedom of movement, improved general well being and a better quality of life.

When applied to specific skills such as sports, playing a musical instrument, public speaking etc.
the Alexander Technique greatly enhances performance.

An Alexander lesson lasts 40 min, it is gentle and involves simple movements such as standing and sitting.
Comfortable clothes are recommended - i.e. not too tight.

I received my diploma as a teacher after having succesfully completed a 3-year teacher training course
held at the Constructive Teaching Centre in London, one of the oldest and most reputable schools
for the Alexander Technique in the world.
